Forklift trucks are used in a wide range of industries and therefore need to be flexibly equipped. Depending on the application, various attachments can be mounted to the fork carriage or fully integrated into the mast. The choice of the right attachment determines both the mast configuration and the overall forklift capacity.
Hydronika advises companies on putting together an optimal combination of mast, fork carriage and attachment. Thanks to our technical expertise, we know exactly which parts are compatible, which hydraulic functions are needed and what residual load capacity remains in your situation.
Standard general-purpose options
Forkboard
The fork carriage forms the basis of almost every mast configuration. It is the frame on which forks and attachments are mounted. For masts with a capacity of up to about 10,000 kg, Hydronika follows the ISO 2328 standard.
When a specific application differs from this standard, we provide alternative designs or specialised fork boards. We also advise on the choice of suitable attachments.
Side shift
Side shift allows the fork carriage to hydraulically move left and right. This facilitates precise positioning of loads. This requires one additional hydraulic function and a hose group through the mast.

Fork adjustment
Fork adjustment is often combined with side shift. The forks are hydraulically shifted to pick up loads or pallets of different widths. This combination requires two hydraulic functions and two hose groups through the mast.
Other attachments
Attachments are often used when standard solutions are not sufficient. Other attachments include all specialised devices developed for specific loads and working conditions. These solutions allow goods to be clamped, rotated, tilted or handled palletlessly.
Mounting attachments affects residual load capacity. Extra weight in front of the mast means less effective lifting force. Hydronika will help you select the right mast type and a matching configuration.
Many devices operate hydraulically and therefore require one or more additional functions on the forklift. The right hose groups must also be present in the mast to operate these functions safely and efficiently.
Attachments are supplied in standardised mounting classes. The mast must be equipped with the right fork carriage and capacity for correct mounting. Hydronika will assess which class is required in your application.
