Attachments is often used when standard solutions are insufficient. Other attachments include all specialised devices developed for specific loads and working conditions. These solutions allow goods to be clamped, rotated, tilted or handled palletlessly.
Because these applications directly affect mast load, hydraulics and residual capacity, Hydronika supports you in making the right technical choices. Below is an overview of different options, specified by industry, so you can easily find inspiration on what a solution might be for you. We specialise in higher-level customised solutions, so challenge us!
Mounting attachments affects residual load capacity. Extra weight in front of the mast means less effective lifting force. Hydronika will help you select the right mast type and a matching configuration.
Many devices operate hydraulically and therefore require one or more additional functions on the forklift. The right hose groups must also be present in the mast to operate these functions safely and efficiently.
Attachments are supplied in standardised mounting classes. The mast must be equipped with the right fork carriage and capacity for correct mounting. Hydronika will assess which class is required in your application.
Warehousing
Many different attachments are used in warehouses. Therefore, the mast is often equipped with multiple hose groups for additional hydraulic functions. Besides side shift and fork adjustment, specialised devices are mounted on the fork carriage for palletless storage, bulky goods or combined pallet flows.
White goods / box clamp
For picking up boxes or rectangular loads without a pallet, such as electronics, white goods or packaged foodstuffs.
Push-pull systems
For picking up goods placed on a slip-sheet instead of a pallet. Ideal for space-saving container loading.
Multi Pallet Handler
Hydraulic multiple fork adjustment with, for example, 4 or 6 forks, suitable for picking up one or more pallets at a time. Often combined with side shift.
Drum clamp
A hydraulic clamp for picking up one or more drums, with optional rotation system for emptying.
Reach forks
Hydraulically extendable forks to reach pallets at greater depths or to flexibly switch between one or two pallets in a row.
Paper industry
In the paper industry, heavy lift trucks and heavy-duty masts are typically used to transport cellulose, waste paper, bales and paper rolls. Here, the mast must be able to withstand intensive loads and torsional forces. Commonly used attachments:
Bale clamps
Hydraulic clamps for picking up bales of cellulose or recycled paper, individually or several at a time.
Paper roll clips
Specific clamps developed to safely pick up one or more paper rolls. Often equipped with rotation function.
Beverage industry
Multi Pallet Handler
In the beverage industry, the Multi Pallet Handler is widely used. The device allows multiple pallets to be moved simultaneously, significantly speeding up logistics flows.
Recycling
Recycling applications require robust heavy-duty masts. It is often advised to equip the forkboard with more than four rollers for extra durability and stability. Commonly used equipment:
Bale clamps
For picking up bales of paper, plastic, textiles or mixed materials.
Rotator
A rotating fork board for emptying bins with loose materials.
Fork clamps
For adjusting and clamping loads between forks, sometimes combined with rotation.
Food and pharmaceutical industry - stainless steel
The food and pharmaceutical sectors often have strict hygiene requirements. Hydronika therefore supplies masts made entirely of stainless steel, mainly for light capacities. These masts are ideal for environments where corrosion resistance and cleanability are crucial.
Carpet industry
Transporting long carpet rolls requires a mast that can withstand increased torsional forces and a large load centre of gravity. The load on the mast in this sector is different from standard pallet work.
Carpet thorn
A robust mandrel mounted on the fork carriage for picking up and moving carpet rolls in warehouses and trucks.
Wood industry & wide loads
For wide or bulky loads, a standard forklift is often not suitable. Specially constructed forklifts and matching mast configurations ensure that wide goods can be moved stably and safely. This often involves an extra-wide fork carriage and a mast that can slide forwards and backwards in the vehicle for optimal positioning.
