Forkboard
What is a forkboard?
The fork carriage is the central mounting frame of the lifting mast. The forks or attachments are attached to it. As such, it forms a crucial part of the overall lift truck configuration. The structure must be able to absorb both the weight of the load and any lateral forces.
Standards and capacities
For masts up to around 10,000 kg capacity, Hydronika operates in accordance with ISO 2328, the international standard for mounting classes and dimensions of fork boards. This standard ensures that attachments can be mounted correctly and safely.
Alternative or special fork boards
Some industries or applications require a different design from the standard version. Consider:
- Extra-wide fork boards for wide loads
- Reinforced boards for intensive or heavy duty applications
- Fork boards with different mounting classes. Hydronika advises which construction is suitable for your application.
Role of Hydronika
We assess forklift capacity, mast configuration and required mounting class to determine which forkboard fits best. Differing designs are supplied on a bespoke basis.
